SAND VALLEY

In southern Jordan, massive rock formations of sandstone and granite stand amid the reddish
sand valleys of Wadi Rum.
Just east of the city of Aquaba in Southern Jordan, Wadi Rum is a natural marvel, containing some of the country’s highest mountain peaks.
Though currently home to a sparse population of Zalabia Bedouin, it has been inhabited for many generations predating the Islamic period, evidenced by a wealth of petroglyphs dating back to Thamudic times.
